Used a stopover in Cairo to visit the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum and it was well worth it.

Then on to admire the stunning architecture of northern Yemen.

Stayed with the Dinka and Mundari tribes in South Sudan, followed by a few relaxing days in Gabon.

Finally a week in each of the central Sahel countries of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.
